As a new month begins, I find myself reflecting on the unchanging nature of God and what it means for us. A question keeps coming back to me: “What if God changed?” If He did, the consequences would be far-reaching.

Consider God’s declaration in Malachi 3:6: “I am the LORD, and I do not change. That is why you descendants of Jacob are not already destroyed.” (NLT) Malachi was the last of the Old Testament prophets, and the book was written around 450–430 BC. By the time of Malachi, the...

“Last week, I was privileged to travel to Oklahoma in the United States, at the invitation of YouVersion, for an event called “Behind the Mission”. I have volunteered on the Product Support Team for the last 14 years, and I currently serve as a Coach, overseeing Team Leaders and volunteers from around the world.”

The days that followed were full of activity. We toured the YouVersion offices and explored the Bible Impact experience, which showed how much of the work we do behind the...

I have worked in the IT industry for almost three decades, and in that time I have witnessed enormous change, from a world where the internet was not generally available to the rise of AI today. At the rate AI is progressing, it raises a question: is faith still relevant in the AI age?

You may wonder why I am asking. The truth is that unless you can answer this question confidently and unequivocally, you will be carried away by every new idea, technology or philosophy that...

Have you ever been in a situation where your faith and trust in God was questioned? If you ask anyone who has been on the Christian journey for a while, chances are they will tell you they have faced that question more than once. The fact that they are still here, still walking with Him, tells you what their answer was.

I learned to answer this question as a teenager, not long after I gave my life to Christ. I was born again at a time when that was strange, even to people who had a...

Last weekend, two police officers were killed in a car crash near Middlesbrough in the UK. The crash, which also claimed the lives of five others, was caused by a vehicle that was apparently being pursued by another police vehicle. It ended up colliding with a marked armed response police vehicle that was travelling in the correct direction.

As I thought about this incident, and about the impact these deaths will have on the families affected, I was reminded of the devastating effects...

Before Jesus preached a single sermon or healed a single soul, he spent forty days and nights in the wilderness, fasting and facing temptation. It is easy to read past this as a mere prelude to the main story, but it was not incidental. It was foundational. Every ministry needs preparation, and Jesus, though fully God, chose to walk the path of dependence on the Father, resisting the enemy not by the divine authority He possesed but by the word of God rightly wielded. His baptism, where the...

I was too young to understand seasonal changes before leaving the UK with my parents as a child. Growing up in Nigeria, I recognised only two weather seasons; rainy and dry seasons. Strictly speaking, these were not seasons, just that there were months when it rained more than others. We didn't need a change of wardrobe due to change in weather, all we needed was protection from the rain when it falls.

When I returned to England however, I began to experience actual seasons determined...

I recently read an account in the scriptures which got me thinking about wise counsel as a gift, something given to us by someone who cares enough to speak and something we are free to receive or reject.

After God delivered the Israelites from Egypt, Moses found himself carrying the entire nation on his shoulders. Every dispute, every disagreement, every question about the law came to him alone. In Exodus 18, we read that his father-in-law, Jethro, came to visit him in the wilderness...

In the run-up to Fathers' Day, I told my wife I did not want any fuss over me. I just wanted a quiet day with the family and made it clear that it was not mandatory for my children to come home. Some of you may be wondering why I did not want to be fussed over. After all, Fathers' Day only comes around once a year and it is an opportunity for the family to show their appreciation.

There were a couple of factors. One, I did not want my children spending too much and secondly, I was...

There is a saying that goes, "It is not what you do but who you know." Growing up in Nigeria, I experienced this first-hand. I remember searching for a job after completing my secondary education, because university was simply beyond what my family could afford. I would carefully fill out applications, sit through tests and interviews, and walk away feeling that I had done well, only to find out that someone far less qualified had been given the position. It did not take long to understand...
