Exactly one year ago, a cloud of grief descended on the Nigerian nation as the news of Dana Air Flight 992 spread like wildfire. The Media and Social Networks buzzed with updates on the event and the identifying the victims of the crash even before the official flight manifest was released. It was one of the worst air disasters recorded in the Nigerian aviation history.
Grief poured out like rainfall as people who knew them posted pictures of whole families perishing in the ill-fated aircraft on social network sites like Facebook.

About 14 years ago in Lagos, Nigeria, the Internet was an emerging technology. Only few people had access to browse the Internet and I still remember with a smile how people would queue up to pay for having an email account created for them. As at that time, it was Hotmail, Yahoo or AOL.
Two years after, theInternet spread began though most people had access at work or at cyber cafes.
It was about this time that I began to think of ways to use my newfound knowledge and opportunity to share the insight I was getting when I read the scriptures.
I already had a list of friends I was corresponding with and they numbered about 10. It was such a joy to be able to share thoughts and the knowledge of God’s words to these friends of mine and I was equally encouraged by their feedbac...

I did a last minute check to ensure that I did not leave anything I needed behind. Having done that, we got into the vehicle heading for the airport.
Thoughts and questions ran through my mind as we set out on the journey. There were many questions but few answers. There was however one conclusion, God would take care of everything.
It was not the first time I would be leaving my family for a period of time but it was the first time I would be leaving them for an unspecified period of time. My wife asked me the question time and time again, ‘How long would it take for us to come and join you?’ I had no answer but once again I relied on my faith in God and told her, ‘Within a year from now, you should be with me, God willing’.
